CLEVELAND, OH — In a Week 12 thriller, the Cleveland Browns outlasted the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game packed with offensive fireworks and dramatic momentum shifts. The Browns opened with a bang, highlighted by Jerome Ford’s 19-yard touchdown and David Njoku’s 2-yard score. However, Pittsburgh soon found their rhythm, with Russell Wilson delivering key passes, including a 22-yard touchdown to Scott Miller.
At halftime, Cleveland held a narrow 28-17 lead, but Pittsburgh wasn’t backing down. A 70-yard touchdown burst from Najee Harris in the third quarter brought the Steelers back into the fight, though Cleveland had an answer of their own. Joe Milton III connected with Anthony Schwartz for a 17-yard touchdown, maintaining the Browns’ advantage.
The fourth quarter brought high-octane action. Nick Chubb‘s electrifying 72-yard touchdown run for Cleveland and Najee Harris’ 17-yard receiving score tied the game late. Despite Pittsburgh’s resilience, their defense struggled to contain Chubb, who finished with 188 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
With 3:24 left in the game, Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins delivered a clutch 29-yard field goal to extend Cleveland’s lead. Pittsburgh responded with a 3-yard touchdown run from Harris just under two minutes later, but Cleveland’s defense held firm, sealing the 48-45 victory.
“We left it all out there, but it just wasn’t enough today,” Steelers QB Russell Wilson commented, having thrown for 379 yards and four touchdowns. “They made the plays when they needed to, and that was the difference.”
Browns running back Nick Chubb praised his team’s heart and execution, saying, “In games like this, it’s all about resilience. We kept pushing, and it paid off.”
